Toshikoshi Bento
Do you have meal plans for Oshogatsu (Japanese New Year)? In recent years, there are more options available to purchase Osechi (Traditional New Year’s dish) in store and online (do you remember how hart it was say ten years ago?). But what if a full size osechi is a little too much for singles, couples and small families? Also, commercial osechi is known to use tons of sugar and additives or longer preservation at room temperature. We will offer a special bento at the end of year called “Toshikoshi (year-passing) Bento” or “Osechi Bento”. Our bento is all natural (no additives), everything made from scratch, and uses reduced sugar (some dishes still call for sugar), including Sekihan (redbean & sweet Japanese rice) with selected osechi bites (Kuromame, Datemaki, Chikuzsen Ni, Namasu, etc) packed in a bento box.
