"Grove" Painting Canvas Print 12x40

Grove started as a free-form session where I just sat down and started painting. The result of that first session was a grove of trees at night, but I wasn't thrilled with the piece. It was taken off the easel and I walked past it for several weeks until a lull in other work and a little bit of inspiration brought it back in focus.I started with a thin whitewash and then began adding many layers of paint using brushes, scrapers, and natural sponges. As the layers built up. so did the textures and blend of colors. The outlines of the trees were still subtly preserved and I can still see a bit of the original grove when I look at it although it has become so much more.Due to printing limitations, this has been adapted to fit a more narrow canvas than the original (which was 16x40").Size: 12"x40" (30x102cm), 1.6" (4cm) deep.Enhanced texture and timeless beauty with our canvas print.
