An Old Accounting Ledger: Hand Written Daifukucho

early twentieth century9 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 1", 24 cm x 16.5 cm x 2.5 cmThis is a very nice daifukucho, a hand bound, hand written book which could have originally been used for inventories, for accounting, for ledgers or as a record of loans.This one is thick with many pages, each one filled with hand writing done in sumi or charcoal-based ink and studded with purple colored ink stamps.  One of its two abraded covers show hand written kanji or Chinese characters.  A good example of a traditional daifukucho, with its original, intact cording. Really attractive.
