2/27-3/01:Join Waitlist! “Beyond Stained Glass” Kiln Fired Imagery w/ visiting artist, Joseph C

Visiting artist Joseph Cavalieri returns from NYC to our studio in 2025! He will be sharing his signature imagery on stained glass techniques, this time with the focus of unique birds and flowers fused into glass. You will explore Joseph's printmaking tactics applied to glass art. You'll start by choosing an images from the choices of custom screens Joseph will bring, print onto your glass, then create an environment and border surrounding the image. Enamels are painted then kiln-fired onto the surface of the glass, then the glass is soldered together. Techniques learned and used include airbrushing, pen-and-ink drawing, painting, and of course silk screening. Let your imagination soar! Expect to make a 10-by-10 inch finished stained glass panel plus samples. Framing, lighting will be discussed in class. Photos are past student work *Stained glass experience needed.
