Indigofera execute them remarkably well, however - more than well enough to exceed our high standards. Cut with a comfortable medium rise, fitted thigh, and a subtle flare, these are a handsome boot cut that deserve to exist in the 2020s. Gunpowder is not just a cool name that Indigofera settled on for their black denim – it’s actually descriptive, as the dye used for the black warp/black weft fabric contains actual gunpowder, helping to give the color both a deep blackness and a little sheen. Custom developed with and produced exclusively for Indigofera by Nihon Menpu Mills in Japan, this all-black denim will fade to gray over time, in the same way that indigo denim does but in grayscale, growing much softer with wear and washing.
