Vignerons de Buxy Mercurey Rouge

Founded by 98 winegrowers in 1931, the Cave des Vignerons de Buxy is a collection of producers focused and intent on promoting the quality of the Cote Chalonnaise.  Their Mercurey rouge, like their Bourgogne rouge, serves as another great example of red Burgundy, again without breaking the bank. This will show more serious on the nose and the palate, with notes of fresh cherry and raspberry, plum, and smoky mineral. These carry onto the medium bodied, fine grained palate to showcase a slightly more serious side of red Burgundy.
