Aroma: deep, caramel, woody, with notes of tobacco. Taste: soft, rich, spicy-caramel, tobacco, nutty and dried fruit, with chocolate and smoky-coffee notes in the voluminous aftertaste. Impact: harmonizing, relaxing, meditative. Aged 15-year-old oolong from the Ju Shan plantation. This Taiwanese oolong was produced by a master from Ju Shan about 15 years ago. The aging process, known as Lao Cha Wang, involves periodic roasting of the batch every six months or several years. Only the strongest and best teas are aged. During the aging process, the tea changes properties and becomes deeper, richer, and more noble, acquiring specific qualities that cannot be replicated by any other method. STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS Traditional Preparation Add 5-6 grams to a Gaiwan 3.4 OZ ( 100ml ). Use 200°F water. Briefly rinse the leaves. Decant and discard this infusion.
