Fly TWA Greece - Parthenon - Constellation
In the Post World War ll era, Howard Hughes as the owner of TWA was a dominant force in expanding and promoting the routes flown by his company. As the economy was vastly improving, airline travel for business and pleasure was on the upswing and posters such as this were instrumental in promoting this form of travel. This TWA to Greece poster was created by the gifted American artist David Klein (1918 -2005), and depicts a zoomed in view of the Parthenon. The crisp graphic style used in this poster is a clear example of Klein's style and clearly demonstrates why he was, and still is, a popular figure in the poster world.
