Mammillaria albicans is a small, globose cactus that typically grows up to 6 inches in height and 1-2 inches in diameter. The stem of the plant is green to blue-green in color and is covered in short whitish gray spines. M. albicans blooms in the summer time with pinkish white flowers emerging from the apex that measure no more than a half inch in diameter. M. albicans is grown as an ornamental plant for its small size and brilliantly colored flowers.  Mammillaria albicans grows best in full sun to partial shade while sitting in well-draining soils.
