Long before silver jewelry Indigenous artisans created beautiful beadwork ornamentation.  With this incredible extra wide cuff bracelet, Marcus Amerman has hand-beaded a portrait of a Native man with as much detail as a painting or even a photograph. Amerman calls his cuffs like this photorealistic portraiture. He's able to achieve this level of detail by using teeny seed beads in an array of colors. Notice even the shading in the figure's hair. If you look closely, you'll see that sections of gray, black and even maroon beads comprise the hair alone. Every beads is hand sewn onto a hide cuff. The overall color of the cuff is a striking red and orange with accents of yellow and even a few turquoise beads. When you put this phenomenal work of art on, you'll never want to take it off.
