BERU and BREMI ignition coils are direct OEM replacements for the 2015-2021 2.0T Audi S3 engine.  Ignition coils transform a car battery's voltage into the high voltage required to create a spark at the spark plug. Ignition coils are crucial for engine timing and performance. We recommend replacing ignition coils and spark plugs at the same time, or every 40,000 miles. Symptoms of ignition coils going bad are similar to spark plugs going bad: engine misfires, rough idle, sluggish engine performance, and slow starts.
