Andouille sausage (uncured)
Our uncured andouille sausage has great flavor with a kick, perfect for sausage & veggie skillets, jambalaya, gumbo, pastas, pizzas, and much more. Try it in breakfast hash, with shrimp, on kebabs, or in sandwiches. 1 lb. pkgs. (4 sausages per pkg.) Ingredients: West Fork pork, yellow onion, salt, garlic, spices, Swiss chard powder, cherry powder. Stuffed in a natural hog casing. Fully cooked; not preserved. Some of our favorite ways to use andouille: > Crockpot Chipotle Queso Chicken Chili - Everyone loves this soup! We double the andouille & beans and sub chicken broth for the beer. > Jambalaya > Pastalaya > Easy & delicious app idea: Slice andouille into rounds and brown in a pan. Arrange on a serving tray. Top with a slice of cheese (e.g., cheddar, gouda, pepper jack) and a dollop of jam or sauce (e.g., sour cherry jam, peach preserves). Eat! > Dice up and saute with onions and peppers to add to scrambled eggs.
