This antique English silver knife rest pair measures 3.25 inches long by 1.25 inch high and dates from the late Victorian or Edwardian era, 1890-1910. The silver plated knife rests or knife holders are in what is called the jack end shape, or bath tap end or the Cingular sign with a central bar liked a turned baluster. The knife rests are superior quality pieces in excellent used vintage condition. The knife rests or cutlery holders would be a great accent piece on any table, an addition to a knife rest collection or table whimsy collection as well as keeping the table clean. Knife rests are enjoying a renaissance for use on dining tables, tea tables...I have even supplied knife rests for use at sommelier tables and loved by food bloggers!
