Chinese Republic 8 1/2" tall Cloisonné Peony Vase Circa 1920

A good-sized (8 ½”) handmade copper vase decorated with a colorful cloisonne peony bush in flower. I love how the peony petals and leaves are shaded. A rounded arts nouveau style lappet band encircles the neck and foot. The foot is shallow and has a flat edge. The vase rests flat on a surface. The base is unmarked and shows the copper. The mouth has a darker bronze looking color. MEASUREMENTS 8 ½” (21.6 cm) tall x 5 ½” (14.0 cm) diameter. Weighs 1 lb 5.6 oz (610 g) CONDITION There are no dents but there is a small concussion mark with a few fine cracks just below one of flowers (see circled area in one of the photos). There is some pitting to the enamels from manufacture, and slight wear from use and time.
