Chinese Republic Era Cloisonné Vase with Scrolling Lotus Design Circa 1920

A classically-shaped handmade Chinese cloisonné vase with a scrolling lotus design on a turquoise ground. There is a band of ruyi head lappets under the mouth and a fish scale border above the foot. The foot is shallow and the base is not enameled. CHINA is stamped on the base. MEASUREMENTS 4 ½” (11.4 cm) diameter x 9 1/8” (23.2 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 0.6 oz (470 g) CONDITION There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or dents. The enamels are bright and colorful and have no losses. They do have some pitting and white spotting from manufacture. There are some age spots on the metal foot rim. The vase will great in many decors ranging from mid-century to traditional.
