This rug was woven by Kurds during the 19th century. It features a field filled with rows of plump shield-like botehs on a dark navy ground. The field is framed by three different borders each with a different variation of rosettes in attractive shades of ivory, red, and a spectacular blue/green. A real stunner for Kurdish rug fans. It very good condition, hefty handle with silky wool.
