Advanced Manufacturing & Machining Career Cart

Description:   The advanced manufacturing & machining cart demonstrates the uses of technology and machines in manufacturing. Students will learn how to program the robotic arm to lift a piece of colored blocks from one position to another using a set of instructions and codes. Project Challenge: Help a local machine shop to use a robotic arm to improve operations Program a robotic arm to pick and place parts onto a conveyor belt for shipping Key Student Activities: Lift boxes to a conveyor belt by programming the robotic arm using “teach” mode Use the robotic arm to remove boxes from the conveyor belt and sort boxes based on color Relevant Careers: Automation Engineer, Robotics, and Mechatronics Engineer
