Description:   The agriculture / landscaping cart demonstrates the process of soil improvement in preparation for planting. Through the use of soil analysis equipment, students are able to make decisions on how to improve soil samples in specific locations. Project Challenge: Determine the feasibility of developing a community garden on a vacant property Identify suitable crops and necessary nutrients for fertilization Key Student Activities: Analyze soil samples in various locations and document findings on a map Use soil data to determine how to best utilize each part of the property Relevant Careers: Farmer, Landscaper, and Environmental Engineer
