ACC4 (IgG2b), Monoclonal Antibody, 100ug
This antibody is an anti-citrullinated protein antibody (ACPA) that on Collagen alpha-1 (II) chain binds specifically to citrullinated C1 epitope on alpha-chain (position 359–369). It cross-reacts with mouse, bovine, and potentially human. Citrullination of proteins is a post-translational modification in which arginine is converted into citrulline by a family of enzymes called peptidylarginine deiminases (PADs). Proteins are susceptible to citrullination during inflammatory processes, and an autoantibody response to citrullinated proteins is a hallmark of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Synonyms:COL2A1, Collagen Type II, Collagen alpha-1(II) chain, CII, Col II, citrullinated CII; citrullinated Col II; citrullinated proteins. References: 1. He, Y., Ge, C., Moreno-Giró, À. et al.
