18th c. Spanish Colonial, So. American Hallmarked Silver Mate Cup & Bombilla

We are offering a Very rare 18th c. South American, Spanish Colonial, Silver Mate Cup & Bombilla with a Foliate design and beaded borders. There are monograms on the cup that probably belong to a former owner, and other undistinguished marks, some from handling and use.  There is what looks like  hallmarks on the cup stem.  (see close-up photo) The silver appears to be .900 or better percentage. Approx. Dimensions: Cup Height: 7" Cup base diameter: 3 1/4" Straw length: 7 7/8" Approx. weight: appx total weight 312 g. cup: 245 grams straw: 66 grams Condition: This beautiful old mate cup and bombilla are in very good condition for age, handling and use.this silver cup and straw have minimal age related damage from use. Some very minor dents and scratches. Can still be used today.
