Olympic Triathlon Stock Training Plan
Ready to rock an Olympic or international distance tri? We've got you covered! THIS PLAN IS FOR YOU IF: You're a self-guided athlete and looking for a solid road map to get you to the finish line strong, healthy, and happy. You have about equal capability in the swim, bike, and run. We do not recommend this plan for athletes who are limited on their swim proficiency. STARTING POINT: You should be able to comfortably swim 800 yards with breaks and bike/run at an easy pace for 30 minutes. ABOUT THE PLAN: Length: 12 weeks or 16 weeks (if you need a base building period, we suggest adding the 4-week BABE Base builder onto the front of this training plan Three-week step cycles (build intensity and/or volume for 2 weeks then pull back intensity and/or volume the third week to shed fatigue & absorb the training you've been doing) --> helps prevent injury and overtraining!
