Quick Breads - Irish Soda Bread
IRISH SODA BREAD MIX - I first landed in Dublin on a cold and rainy day in May that felt like March. My backpack was far too heavy and I found myself injured as soon as I hopped off the train. The B&B which advertised Cold running water and Heat from 10 pm-5 am was within my budget but not within the city center. When I finally arrived at my destination darkness had descended I was utterly dispirited. Despite the description, Mrs O'Leary's home was warm and cozy. A cup of hot tea and a slice of warm homemade soda bread made me finally feel like the road had risen to meet me and I was finally in the land of a thousand welcomes. We created this recipe in Mrs. O'Leary's spirit. Céad míle fáilte! Sugar Cane Box (10oz.)
