Early White Vienna Kohlrabi
Early White Vienna is a classic heirloom kohlrabi variety that produces smooth, pale green bulbs with crisp, snowy-white interiors. This dependable white kohlrabi is prized for its mild, cabbage-like flavor and refreshing crunch, making it an excellent choice for fresh eating. The distinctive, bulb-forming stems grow just above the soil line, giving the plant its unusual appearance and making it a fun and engaging vegetable for kids and new gardeners to grow. Best harvested when bulbs reach 2 to 3 inches in diameter, Early White Vienna remains tender and sweet without becoming woody. Simply peel the outer layer and slice into sticks for a healthy snack, or enjoy grated into slaws, roasted, sautéed, or added to soups. Well-suited for spring and fall gardens, plants mature approximately 60 days after transplanting and perform best in cool weather. Each packet contains a minimum of 150 seeds.
