Long Island Improved is an heirloom variety dating back to 1890 that produces an abundance of one to two-inch sprouts along sturdy 24-inch stems. Sprouts mature over an extended period making Long Island Improved an excellent choice for home gardeners who prefer an extended harvest. Each plant produces approximately fifty to one hundred sprouts. Harvests begin approximately 150 days after transplant. Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
