Alexander Apple Tree
USDA Certified Organic The Alexander apple tree is one of several hundred apple trees of Russian origin brought into this country in the early 1800's. The Alexander apple tree produces very large, attractive, primarily yellow green apple with lightly red strip orange blush fruit. The Alexander apple tree is excellent for sauce, cooking to a juicy lemony puree. The Alexander apple is fine eaten fresh, quite sweet, slightly scented like a fresh baked apple pie. The Alexander apple tree is a good selection for home orchards, as it ripens continuously over a period of four to six weeks. Fruit stores for about 3-4 weeks, but may get greasy if stored too long. The Alexander apple tree is hardy, vigorous, and productive. The Eberhardts in Maine helped us resurrect this old variety.
