Arlet Apple Tree
USDA Certified Organic The Arlet apple tree is often recognized as the "Swiss Gourmet" apple tree in the United States; originally called Arlet where it was first developed by Bernhard Krapf in Wadenswil, Switzerland in the late 1950's. The Arlet apple tree is a variety many people would refer to as sweet, but plenty of folks claim it is tart. For those of us with the taster gene, it's often described best as complex. Arlet apples are harvested September into early October for most apple regions. The Arlet's sweetness makes it a perfect dessert apple with a pleasant and juicy flavor and an excellent balance between sweet and sharp. Flesh of the Arlet is yellowish, firm with a fine texture and very juicy. The Arlet often has attractive rosy-pink flush on a golden background. The Arlet apple tree is great for fresh eating, baking, and cider. Great apple for storage. Also a very cold hardy apple.
