  USDA Certified Organic The Foxwhelp apple tree is one of the oldest surviving varieties of cider apple. John Evelyn, an English writer and gardener, first mentioned it in his work Pomona of 1664. The Foxwhelp cider apple has a dusky red skin, flesh is considered bitter sharp. Pressed cider has earthy tones. Sharp apple, with hint of pear and butterscotch. This one is strictly for cider.
