Hosui Asian pear tree is a relatively (for our nursery) new introduction from the early 1970's. The Hosui pear is golden-brown russeted skin with extremely juicy, fine grain textured flesh, rich flavor with a distinct brandy aroma. A refreshing treat in the heat of summer. Hosui Asian pear is characterized by bit of a wild growth habit.  The Hosui pear is often a favorite in our taste tests.
