Nonsuch French translation, Nonpareil, meaning "without equal" speaks to this apples high regard. The nonsuch apple is among the best early to mid-season eating apples. A sweet crisp apple that will fill the harvest gap between Gravenstein and Spitzenberg. The Nonsuch apple is usually medium to large size fruit with clear to red skin in our climate, but color is variable. Flesh is white, moderately firm, sweet and rich.
