Pineapple Quince
USDA Certified Organic Pineapple quince is a variety of quince developed by Luther Burbank in the late 1800s, specifically bred to be enjoyed fresh without cooking due to its improved flavor and shorter cooking time compared to other quince varieties. Pineapple Quince is a tender pale yellow fruit with white flesh and slight pineapple flavor. Used for jelly preserves, and as an addition to applesauce. Pineapple quince makes a lovely landscaping tree, with rose-pink blooms and twisted branches for winter interest. Quince fruit also makes an extraordinary hard cider.
