Keys in Blue

Here’s one of my favorite seascape photos, taken while I was in Key West, Florida. I couldn't help myself but to give this photo my impressionistic makeover that I so love doing. As I worked on “painting” the photo, the scene brought to mind the story of Peter Pan and Captain Hook’s ship the Jolly Roger. And Never Never Land, a place where you never grow up. Full of adventure and innocence. Although Never Never Land is a mystical place, I do think we should all travel there from time to time to regain that sense of innocence and wonder that is so easily lost in today’s world. So every so often step off the treadmill of your daily routine and commitments and hop on the Jolly Roger and head for “the second star on the right straight on till morning.” Your soul will be the better for it.
