Old Blue Eyes
I’m a big fan of Frank Sinatra, always have been. Back in his heyday he was legendary and his nickname was “Ol’ Blue Eyes”. He had fame, power, class, respect among his peers and he was adored by his fans. He grew up in a tough neighborhood and many of his childhood friends were connected to the mob and so there were always rumors of Frank’s involvement (which were never substantiated). But one thing most people never knew about him was that he had a big heart. Over the years he helped so many people, many of which he never personally knew, and did it without publicity. He was very generous and giving. And that is what this portrait of a lion represents to me. They say with great power comes great responsibility and that’s exactly what Frank and this lion have in common!
