Chicago Flag Jeans

About the Art: Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I wanted to honor the city I grew up in. During the summer of 2023, while walking my dogs at Lake Shore Park, I sketched this jean design on my iPad, inspired by the city flag waving near the Streeterville hospital campus. Experimenting with different jean wash colors, I noticed the light blue matched the flag, so I added the stripes and stars, and the Chicago Jean Flag was born. To further pay tribute, I wrote "Chicago" down the left leg in a graffiti style, honoring the street artists who have made their mark on the city.
