About the art: In the winter of 2023, there was a massive scandal when Budweiser decided to do an ad campaign with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The uproar sparked a nationwide conversation on whether it was financially responsible for brands to partner with diverse creators. It also prompted some to ask if Dylan was being genuine to herself. 'Show Your Stripes' was created to demonstrate that just because someone isn’t born with the anatomy that most closely aligns with how they feel inside — and just because others might never see them as fully part of the community they identify with — it doesn’t make them any less desirable, beautiful, or part of that community.
