
Lemon Cucumber
25 SEEDS. Cucumis sativus. 60 - 70 days. Annual. Heirloom. Zones 4 - 12. A fun, unique variety of tennis ball-shaped, bright yellow fruits that are sweet and tender. Pick when young and use for slicing, salads, or pickling. Clean, crisp taste that is never bitter. Heavy yields throughout the season. Directly sow seeds 1" deep and 3" apart in groups of 4 - 6 in well-drained, fertile, moist soil after all danger of frost has passed. Germinates in 8 - 10 days. Keep evenly moist. Space groups at least 18" apart. Thin to 3 or 4 stronger seedlings per group when they are 1 - 2" tall. Mulch well to retain moisture. Keep well-watered at the soil level throughout the growing season, especially during dry spells. Trellis or plant along a fence line for the vines to climb. Harvest in the morning for the best flavor and texture. Grows 36 - 48" long.
