Keyword Enrichment: CPC, Volume, and Data Sources
What Is Keyword Enrichment?
Keyword enrichment adds market context to keywords a merchant already has. Reach Dog returns available:
- search volume
- cost-per-click
- competition
These signals help compare terms that may otherwise look equally relevant.
Reading the Metrics
Search volume describes measured demand attached to a keyword record. If a related parent-volume field is present, keep it separate from direct measurement.
CPC provides commercial context from advertising data. It is not the price every merchant will pay.
Competition describes the competition signal available for the term. It does not determine whether the merchant can or should target it.
Using Enriched Keywords
Review the metrics with product relevance and merchant economics. A precise lower-volume term can be more useful than a broad high-volume term when it describes the right product and buyer need.
Enrichment supplies evidence for a decision. It does not establish a universal threshold or automatically choose a campaign, title, or budget.
